Think pink. Think pretty in pink.
We use to think twice about even deciding whether we should have pink in our
wardrobes.I use to think the colour was too girly or I couldn’t pull it off as it washed
me out. Always have been and always will be a girl who loves the colour black (yes that
is a colour). Pink can be a tricky colour to master, but with ice cream hues in some of
our favourite fashion designers SS18 collections, it is about time I push aside my
love/hate relationship of this colour and invest in a few statement pieces.
This season we saw Christopher Kane bring the chic to candyfloss pink, Emporio
Armani brightened up our workwear wardrobes and Erdem showed us we can rock a
feminine pink. Of course, we all look to the runways for our wardrobe inspiration..
Whether we copy it from buying off the high street or we interpret it to our own tastes.
But the main question is… When it comes to pink, do you sutley wear it on your bag or
do you go OTT and overload with the princess inspired colour?
As much as this colour should be one of many statement block colours in your
wardrobe, it has also been overflowing into our interiors and homeware. Dusky pink
has been a favourite of everyones recently whether you like to admit your love of pink
or not. Working it off our bedroom covers and into our styles can be a tricky one. Make
sure to pair pinks with the right colours. The famous pink and red colour pairing is
one of the most loved pairings since strawberries and cream. Pink is also great in the
spring when pairing with creams, greys and whites. Don’t be afraid to mix it up and
add some pattern. Show off your inner barbie girl!!
Common on barbie, let’s go.. SHOPPING! Check out some of the prettiest in pink
clothes, that you can get your hands on for this seasons must have trend.
