A Luxury Womenswear designer that has taken it upon himself to defy the odds of the Fashion Industry today, is Christian Siriano. After emerging as the winner of the fourth season of the American design competition, Project Runway, his career ascended with the launch of a self-titled collection which was engraved and introduced to the Fashion scene.
From the inception of the brand, Siriano, with his whimsical and diverse approach to Fashion has maintained a contemporary and exciting image. In June 2013, he became a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). The inclusivity within the brand is very evident, as he has been able to understand the uniqueness of the female body in different shapes and sizes.
His intricate designs have earned him a seasonal display at New York Fashion Week. Siriano has a clientele of some of the most famous women in the Music, Fashion and Movie Industry such as Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, Lupita Nyong’o, Ashley Graham and Kim Kardashian West, just to name a few. In November 2017, to extend his eccentric sense of Fashion, he released a book titled “Dresses to Dream about”, published by Rizzoli. The book gives an insight to some of Siriano’s creations and how they have evolved over time.
In February 2018, he celebrated the 10th anniversary of his Fashion line with a runway event showcasing his 2018 Fall Collection. Models that walked the runway gave a feel of representativeness, as they were all very different and unique on a physical level.
Christian Siriano has clearly come to redefine the essence of Womenswear for other Fashion brands in the industry, as a whole with his daring yet subtle sense of design.
