When you’re as big of a fashion house as Louis Vuitton, then you can only expect
the best of the best when it comes to its collections. And what better way to
showcase the influential brand than by selecting the best place to put on a
performance... Would you think it was crazy for Vuitton to have his catwalk based in
one of the worlds biggest airports? They have chosen the iconic TWA Flight Centre
building at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, for the upcoming
cruise show on 8 May.
Creative Director, Nicolas Ghesquière has always presented the collections in the
most striking and beautiful buildings in the world, so it wasn’t such a shock for this
seasons upcoming show.
“The TWA Flight Center, a sheer evocation of travel itself, is inherently linked to
Louis Vuitton’s commitment to exclusive architectural discoveries, to its art of
travel, and represents an ideal close to Nicolas Ghesquière’s inspirations,” the
brand said in a statement.
The futuristic structured building will capture the inspiring seasons cruise
collection, so come fly with us as we await the long anticipated show. Mark the date
in your notes, as we know this will be a striking and unmissable show.
