As the fashion industry is slowly evolving, customers are always looking for a fresh and new idea.
In the past year many brands have changed their creative directors and Givenchy is one of them.
The brand’s first women artistic director Clare Waight Keller was appointed for Givenchy in March.
Givenchy revealed a teaser campaign of Keller’s debut collection which will be showcased in
October.

Very far away from Givenchy’s ordinary style, the photographs were taken by the infamous Steven
Meisel in black & white. Contrasting the expectations, the new campaign seems to be mysterious
and has a strong language unlike the brand’s previous approaches.

Since its founding, Audrey Hepburn being one of the brand’s icons, Givenchy prolonged its
association with elegance. Yet, it seems like Claire Waight Keller is trying to reform this association
and give the brand a new vision and identity. Debuting in October, the teaser campaign that released
this week is giving us hints of Givenchy’s new image.
