5 Major Trends From New York Fashion Week


We’ve past the first fashion city of the fashion month; New York. From Alexander Wang to Ralph Lauren designers have swept the runway with the trends of the upcoming Spring/Summer 2018 season. New York is the fashion city of urban styles and sharp cut tailoring and this perceived in this season’s runways. It was also a major city where Kaia Gerber, daughter of Cindy Crafword debut her runway career at the age of 16! Calvin Klein, Alexander Wang and much more, Kaia was on all of the runways. One of the other memorable moments of New York was Alexander Wang’s gerilla show on the street. Sunshine Colours

Yellows and oranges were ruling the runway shows. Designers brought the sunshine infront of your eyes with these bright colours. From floor sweeping gowns to tailored jackets yellows and oranges were everywhere.

Victorian Sleeves were a trend of the past season and now the sleeves and shoulders are even more dramatic. With puff and sharp cuts, New York Fashion Week was putting all the emphasis on the shoulders.

Tassels come and go from fashion and now they are back! Tassels were seen on gowns, jackets and much more. It is the comboy style taken to glamour.
