Why faux furs should be part of your winter outfits
Baby, it’s cold outside! You can say that again! For those of us who don’t live in areas where it’s always summer, this is just December, so there are still months of freezing cold ahead. If you once had the impression that it was tricky to come up with new gorgeous ideas for outfits, during winter it’s having to decide what coat to wear. And that can turn into a code red crisis. And no, staying more at home is definitely not an option!
With the New Year’s Eve just around the corner, assessing your wardrobe and options from stores is crucial in order to be sure that you will look your best, glamorous and inspiring, no matter where and what you do.
Fortunately, you can still pull up a polished attire AND keep warm at the same time (or, at least, the warmest possible), while avoiding to look like some Mama Bear.
Yes, faux fur coats are perfect for this time of the year and for so many reasons! First off, they feel like a warm haven for whoever wears one. Seriously, these coats outperform most of the typical outwear pieces in your wardrobe and are soft and lovely to feel against your skin. Moreover, because faux fur coats generally come in larger sizes, it’s easy to wear a blazer or a jacket underneath, if necessary. They’re practical, super-easy to adapt to countless of combos, they don’t cost a fortune and, most importantly, #crueltyfree is the most considerate and compassionate option to have in mind when shopping. Just so we’re on the same page, this is 2017 and social responsibility is a sign of good taste.

When it comes to finding the style that fits you the most, it really can’t be any easier, since faux fur coats come is all sizes and shapes, colors and patterns.
They’re either above the waist short or extra- long or extra-large, slim or boxy, depending of which cut goes best with one’s figure.
For a more conservative type of personality, natural colors might be the best option when choosing a faux fur. They can play a little with the design, go for a vest, maybe, and the result is guaranteed success. Otherwise, the palette is generous, from white or black to pastels and neon. You can go for a plain color or a zig-zagged or stripped pattern, plain or animal print.
Styling a faux fur is easy and they go well with high heels, with chunky motorcycle boots for an edgy look and even with a pair of sneakers for the ultimate casual chic look. Just as varied is the choice for bags to match them and other accessories: beanies, fedora hats, turbans and so on.
The idea is that faux fur is extremely versatile and easy to care, you just can’t get enough of wearing yours. And if this happens, if you eventually get bored, you can always buy a new one and play with your winter outfits. Because, hey, a girl never has enough of any.
