London Fashion Week Trends

London Fashion Week was quite eventful! With fur protestor raiding the Mary Katrantzou show, to shocking orthopaedic shoes from Christopher Kane, it was totally filled with surprises. London is probably one of the most creative fashion weeks among the cities. With a creativity explosion, the most memorable show was probably Christopher Bailey’s last collection for Burberry. The designer devoted his last collection to the LGBTQ communities with designs filled with the rainbow pride pattern!

The royal idea was clearly seen in the collections that were loaded with voluminous shapes, sequins and maximalism. Before moving to Milan, London gave us the taste of true creativity. Check out the trends that stood out the most during London Fashion week.

Bohemia

Florals, ruffles and slinky dresses… The eccentric vibe of bohemian styles was definitely one of the major trends seen in London Fashion Week. Are you secretly a striving artist that is in such creative pain? Then, yep! This is your look…

Pride

50 Shades of Grey has completed its series. So now we can move to colour. Not simple colours but bold, bright colours of the rainbow. As ‘pride’ became a centre stage for Burberry, it was also a centre stage for the rest of the Brit designers.

Balloon Skirts

More volume never hurt anyone! London was genuinely into the idea of voluminous skirts. Right back to the Victorian era, we’re wearing our full skirts for Fall Winter 2018!

All That Jazz

Sparkle, glamour, glitter, and all that jazz… You might need a sunglass to look at one of the major trends of London Fashion Week. It’s truly eye catching. Sequins were major last season and it is still going strong.

Eighties

You have probably realised that ‘80s is an era that the fashion world will never give up on. For the past seasons we’ve been living in a huge throwback… And yet again, for Fall Winter 2018, our throwback continues…

Scottish Vibes

Britain… Plaid… These two words just can never go separately. London Fashion Week is THE pioneer of plaids and checks, so it is not a surprise that this trend was prominent once again.

Jacquard

Jacquard is such a magical fabric that it instantly adds ‘royalty’ to your style. This season with all the Royal weddings, we can’t help but opt for this style ourselves…

Shine Bright Like a Diamond

As we speak of glitz and glamour, we can’t skip metallics. The shiny high-tech fabrics were very popular in London Fashion Week. Especially in rain macs, high tech and metallic fabrics will be huge in Fall Winter 2018.

Black is Our Happy Colour

There were so much colours in these shows that all-black outfits stood out in the collections. This chic style never goes out of fashion and London surely proved that to us…

Cozy Blankets

Blankets were seen in nearly all of the fashion weeks. We’re guessing that oversized scarves are one of the biggest trends of Fall Winter 2018. As the weather gets cooler, our scarves get bigger…
