H&M launches Met Gala inspired dresses online

The high street label is continually ahead of the game (sustainability lines, luxury designer and influencer collaborations just to mention a few), and this years Met Gala participation is not any different.

Although the brand has been gracing many red carpet events (fashion awards and previous Met Galas included), this year also marks a new step in the digital age - shop the red carpet look. Inspired by the bespoke gowns, the affordable versions range in price and style.

The Met’s Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination runs through the looks H&M displayed at the event on the muses in the likes of Olivia Munn and Kiersey Clemons. While Jasmine Sander’s braided locks with entangled flowers and Alek Wek’s bardot gown are making its round on the Instagram feed, all the looks echo in the affordable capsule collection available on the webstore as well as in H&M flagship store in New York.

The price for the pieces varies between €79.99 up to €499. The collection features a silver V-neck floor length evening gown, a black knitted dress, a sleeveless cocktail party look and a gold-string open back, Goddess-like ensemble.
