The Oscars 2019 have brought not only to great film awards, but also surprises on the catwalks in terms of clothing. Brunello Cuccinelli, Alexander McQueen, many are the names of the great designers who showed their creations during the starriest night in Los Angeles.

To be flashy you do not need to exaggerate, Charlize Theron knows that in her dress Dior celebrated Spring on the catwalk. Minimal dress and sinuous shapes, all completed with a charming brown bob, made the actress super chic.

Even Julia Roberts has not given up on colour, Elie Saab and her pink camellia dress hint at the split of the Pretty Woman actress. Roberts presented the Oscar for the best film wrapped in this fuchsia one-shoulder dress, very simple but very striking.

Black, black and even black is the colour chosen by Lady Gaga. Miss Germanotta gave up her bright clothes to show off an Alexander McQueen prom dress. Less spectacular than usual, but not for this trivial. Everything was crowned with a 128.54 carat Tiffany Diamond. Chignon and black gloves recall the fifties and dear departed Hollywood stars.

But black can also amaze. Billy Porter knows it well, the American singer-actor of 'Pose' has surprised everyone with his outfit: an unusual tuxedo designed by Christian Siriano. In place of the traditional trousers, a very wide velvet prom skirt replaces the red carpet.

What material is the Oscar statuette? Question to which Glenn Close could respond by showing her outfit chosen for the evening. Yes, the androgynous looks have been abandoned for a judged not enough "politically correct" dress. The total gold outfit has not been slow to criticism even on social media.

Kendall Jenner, Miley Cyrus and Adriana Lima have not given up exaggerated slits and necklines. During the Oscar party, the celebrities did not hide anything. An example? Kendall in her dress signed by Rami Kadi, showed a vertiginous slit: the legs and hips of the super model were under the eyes of everyone, not only photographers.
