Maison Fendi, under the leading figure of Silvia Venturini Fendi, is definitely going through a period of transformation. Venturini Fendi has a sparkling spirit and a long eye on trends that will interest the younger audience. In this way, irreverence and desire to have fun are combined with the high bourgeois tradition of the brand and we can clearly see it in the shots of the Pre Fall 2020, where outfits with a strong retro and bon ton taste are photographed in a hyper modern and futuristic environment.
The inspiration comes from many parts at the same time: there is certainly the Fendi tradition, there is an eye for future trends, there are the personal interests of the creative director who, as we know, particularly loves cinema and its protagonists. Fendi's future woman is a modern reinterpretation of Lolita, whose style includes baby dolls halfway between innocence and seduction, blouses with fancy collars and patterned socks with Mary Jane. However, there are also formal and chic touches in double-breasted jackets, in longuettes and in suits with a rigid and vaguely military cut.
We liked the collection a lot, especially because it seems like a breath of fresh air. Our two favorite outfits are the baby doll dress and the suit jacket in velvet ocher yellow , while the trend we can't wait to try is the knitted brasserie worn over the organza shirt.
