Available from August 22, the new capsule collection by H&M in collaboration with historic British brand Richard Allan, is a reminder of the 60’s and the liveliness and eclecticism of the Swinging London.
Part of the collection are some of Allan’s iconic motifs and styles, including the Piccadilly print, Paraph, Palme, the tree-inspired motif, Muse, a motif reminiscent of the muses of Greek mythology and Scott, a reinterpretation of Scottish plaid.
“It is wonderful to know that my father’s prints will be worn by a completely new audience - he would be thrilled, as I am.” Stated Cate Allan, the brand’s creative director. “Many of his colourful designs are as important today as when they were conceived from the 60s to the 80s and the reinterpretation of H&M for the 21st century is a brilliant creation. Let’s hope that this initiative will open the doors to new generations in new places, displaying the extraordinary talent of Richard Allan, whose prints have become synonymous with colored chic”.
