Givenchy collection is all about drama and scenography. Inspirations come from various background and are very different from one to the others.

First of all the punk scenario, which lead to Givenchy’s designer Clare Waight Keller the idea of subversion: wear crazy pieces, unexpected, wrap wallpaper around your body, cover it with plumage and draperies. Play, in one word. The reference is Jordan, well known figure in the London underground reality of the 70s. She worked with Vivienne Westwood in her shop Sex and she was probably one of the muse of the designer. Waight Keller calls it noblesse radical - the complete couture anarchy.

The collection is although extremely refined, anarchist but still precious. Underground maybe in the soul, but not in the final results. Garments are a very chic kind of drama, meant for the old style Hollywood events. Velvet and tulle, bows and a massive amount of feathers.

Shapes’ abundance is balanced with the rightness of colours, which play, at the beginning, on the elegant alternation of black and white, and then add a touch of coral pink, baby blue and green. This is for sure a breathtaking collection, which surround the female figure with an ethereal cloud.
