The spring 2020 collection that the designer Daniele Calcaterra showcased in the occasion of Milan Fashion Week was infused with intimacy and purity.
The color palette mostly comprehends different shades of white and black, and also includes beige, while a series of red-centered looks closed the show.
Silhouettes and texture are the strength of this collection: we can certainly admire the androgynous looking jackets, which were cut roomy and boxy; plus, it’s interesting to see the feature of drapes to create volume and also the use of asymmetries.
It’s noticeable, in this collection, the influence of Japanese traditional costumes, which surely inspired the designer’s use of obi belts and his creation of wide and fluid pants, which paired beautifully with the simple lines of the rest of the collection.
