“Posh pirates and aristo groupies” is the title as well as the inspiration for the latest fashion show spring-summer 2020 by Veronica Etro for the homonymous fashion house. It is clear from the start how contrasts reign over the whole collection, inspired by the adventure and rebellious spirit typical of pirate aesthetics, combined with a more refined bourgeois atmosphere.

To accompany the exotic and sensual fantasies typical of Etro, a mood 70’s and the festival atmosphere of a hot and sunny summer day. The show, set at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan, presents caftans with paisley prints, recurrent in many garments and also in the Pegaso Bag disclosed from the archives of the 80’s. The accessories, sunglasses, bandanas and large hats further enrich the exotic characterization of the entire collection.
The leopard print dresses and shorts were sensual as much as the maxi coloured dresses stopped at the waist by a large leather belt. There were also customisable striped or plain shirts coordinated with high-waisted denim trousers, plain pastel or paisley prints.
