"MFW: Philosophy by Lorenzo Serafini ss20"

We have already seen that the 1980s are a very strong trend for the coming seasons. Exaggerated shoulders, a narrow waist and a certain fascination with precious details like flounces and crystals. Philosophy by Lorenzo Serafini revisits the glamor of this era in its own way and is exceptionally inspired by the two sisters, the princesses Stephanie and Caroline of Monaco. In the soundtrack of the show there is in fact Irresistible, the song that Princess Stephanie of Monaco released in 1986 and that was a real hit. The designer admitted that the two princesses have always fascinated him, especially when he was still a boy.

If the shapes are openly 80s, the materials are less pompous, less noisy, and make the collection irresistibly modern. Also because the designer was very attentive to his choices, trying to keep an eye on the environmental impact of the garments: the black leather mini dress, for example, is eco-leather.

Jackets and tops are pieces of daily wear with striped print, fresh and summer, not at all pretentious. There is also a lot of denim, in very heavy cloth and with different washes. Not only on jackets and trousers, but also braided to create very tight belts and bustier tops on the body.
