Carolina Herrera is perfectly able to put patterns together with clean and elegant lines, and send down the runway dresses that are jewels. This latest collection is not outdone.
In the first part floral motifs alternate with tie-dye, that invades belt as well. These have a very massive buckle that is not a sort of signature for Herrera: it gives shape to the dress, marking the waist and highlighting sleeves, but it is in the same time integrated into the whole. In this collection shoulders have even more space.
Polka dots is new and becomes part of the Herrera's repertory, made of maxi flowers and maxi checks.
Belts' buckle is also ornament for flat sandals and pumps, even if the most fashionable shoes' model is the Mary Jane, true must have for the following seasons. Better if you chose a bright colour's pair, able to give a twist to the outfit.
A special mention for the last part of the show, where some gorgeous dresses were placed. We truly love the flowers 3D applications and the structured neckline of the green mini dress: this is what we call wearable art. After all, Carolina Herrera always display a very high standard of perfection.
