The Spring Summer 2020 collection presented by Albert Kriemler at Paris Fashion Week for the Akris brand turned out to be a tribute to the famous Ai Bag of the brand, which this year celebrates its 10th birthday.

A giant version of the trapezoidal bag with origami side folds was the backdrop for the catwalk of the show. Of course, each model carried a bag: many of them brought with them reinterpretations of the iconic model of the brand.

The trapezoidal shape of the bag also influenced the silhouettes of the rest of the collection, which is characterised by the geometric shapes of the garments.

Each season Kriemler is inspired by the work of a different artist. For this Spring Summer 2020, the designer's point of reference was Italian painter Antonio Calderara. The choice of this artist seems sensible if you are familiar with his works: in the last part of his career, in fact, Calderara was as obsessed with geometry as much as Kriemler is today.

In particular, the model who closed the show wore a long bandeau dress with a side slit, which in the combination of colors was surely reminiscent of a Calderara painting.
