While Virgil Abloh is retiring in Chicago for a period of rest ordered by the doctor, on September 26th the collection he designed for Off White was showcased at Paris Fashion Week. This SS20 is slightly subdued compared to the great grandeur of past seasons, described by many in the fashion system.

The concept behind this collection is "Meteor Strike", which refers to both the astral phenomenon and women's strength. The garments of which the collection is composed seem to be inspired by the minimalism of the 90s, extremely appreciated by the millennial generation.

At the beginning of the show a recording of the voice of Dr. Mae C. Jemison, the first black woman to travel in space, onboard of the space shuttle Endeavor. This gesture testifies to the commitment of the African-American designer in the promotion of education and culture, as the recording was about the importance of science and art.

The Hadid sisters were also part of the casting: indeed, it was Bella who closed the show, wearing a fuchsia dress that was short in the front and long in the back.
