In Paris, Rick Owens' fashion show is on everyone's lips. In fact, the American designer brought models to the catwalk showing their scalp, proving himself capable of making bold choices in the beauty area.

But let's get to the collection. With this Spring Summer 2020, Owens is seemingly celebrating his origins and, in particular, his mother's, who is a Mexican that immigrated to the United States.

n this collection, one can indeed notice very well the references to Aztec style, as also demonstrated by the headgears worn by some of the models. Some have noted the similarity of these headgears with those of Metropolis, a silent movie from 1927 directed by Fritz Lang, reading into this styling choice some criticism of President Trump's closure policy towards Mexican immigrants.

In this SS20 silhouettes are sculptural and long and voluminous dresses are also present. Precisely, a white dress with rouches on the front recalls Marie Antoinette's style, managing not to contrast with the rest of the collection, being indeed one of its best pieces.
