"The stellar dresses at Festival of Cannes 2019"

Now at the 72nd edition, the Cannes Festival represents a pillar of the main events from the world of cinema, a place in which one can admire the most praised stars of the world. However, Cannes is not only this, it is more: it is a place in which cinema crosses its path with fashion.

Indeed it is here that we can admire the haute couture dresses, the ones that take our breath away.

The evening of the 14th of May, the first of the next ten days, has seen stars walking on the red carpet of the calibre of Tilda Swinton, Chloë Sevigny, Selena Gomez and Bill Murray. This wonderful cast presented the film “The Dead Don’t Die” directed by Jim Jarmush.

The first one wore a Haider Ackermann silver sequinned column dress. Very elegant was also Chloë Sevigny, who wore a black Mugler evening gown with long black gloves that added a touch of sophistication.

Selena Gomez wore a Louis Vuitton bustier with a long skirt paired with an art-deco collar by Bulgari.

At the opening night there was also Julianne Moore who played a role in the film “After the Wedding” and that presented an emerald green Dior Haute Couture evening gown. Equally remarkable were Caroline de Maigret in Chanel and model Izabel Goulart in Etro.

During the second evening which took place at the 15th of May, many models and actors arrived at the Croisette, lighting it up with glamour. The films presented were “Les misérables” directed by Ladj Ly, born in Mali and raised in the French banlieue, and “Bacurau” directed by Kleber Mendonça Filho and Juliano Dornelles.

For this evening was also present former model who made the history of fashion Carla Bruni, elegant as always in her blue Celine evening gown, embellished with Bulgari jewellery.

Ethereal and fascinating, Elle Fanning wore a Valentino Haute Couture and then Gucci. Surely more aggressive and sexier, model Alessandra Ambrosio wore a red gown born out of the new collaboration of designers Julien Macdonald and Gabriela Gonzalez, Julien x Gabriela.
