PierPaolo Piccioli is looking for new horizons to extend his gaze to, but he does it starting from his roots, from what he knows and values. The photo shoot presenting the Pre Fall 2020 is the emblem of this new perspective: imaginative angles and artistic glimpses are the setting for daywear outfits that maintain the chic and absolutely fabulous spirit to which Valentino haute couture has accustomed us. Midi dresses, long skirts and blouses, capes and coats with fur collars, follow each other naturally and define an elegant and imaginative woman, full of creative flair.
All adjectives that fit perfectly to Piccioli and that are responsible for the impeccable stylistic line of Maison Valentino. Which suggests us, invites and gives us the opportunity to transform everyday life into a precious experience. Summed up in the last photo of the look book, an (vertiginously) inclined shot that portrays the model wearing a sky blue tulle dress, silhouetted on the frescos decorated ceiling of Valentino's headquarters, where the photographs were taken, in Piazza di Spagna in Rome. Tulle to fly in the colors of the stratosphere, and a sky of paintings opening above us. There is no better metaphor for Valentino.
Piccioli uses his incredible qualities as a colorist once again and creates unusual combinations, playing with tones: bright colors are combined with darker and silky shades. The final effect is an interesting novelty.
The best pieces in our opinion are the transparent white lace dress (a fairy tale one) and the orange outfit, with bows on the shoulders and the see-through blouse. Thanks PierPaolo.
