Versace announced a collaboration with Welsh actor Luke Evans for the launch of the new eyewear collection, which comprehends optical and sun pieces.
The fall/winter 2019-20 eyewear collection celebrates the heritage of the brand, with house codes featured on modern frame shapes. Elegant metal frames have an all-over Greek Key motif delicately laser engraved, while Medusa studs adorn bridges and temple tips. The design of this new collection range from classical pilot to modern visor silhouettes.
The 40-years-old actor Luke Evans is famous for acting in several Hollywood movies, other than for working in theater as well; indeed, Evans took part, among others, in Clash of the Titans, The Three Musketeers, Fast & Furious 6, The Hobbit trilogy, Dracula Untold and he played Gaston in Disney’s recent adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. The choice of Luke as the testimonial of the new campaign is not surprising at all if we consider the several times in which he attended Versace shows from the front row; plus, his friendship with Donatella Versace is also very relevant.
