Zadig &Voltaire: the new muse for the FW19 Campaign

Cecilia Bonstrom, creative director of the French brand, was inspired by the notes of the Sonic

Youth’s song dating back to 1985 “I love her all the time” for the new fall-winter campaign 2019.

The protagonist of the campaign is of course Kate Moss, whose rebellious style, is perfectly suited

to the rock and gritty atmosphere conceived by the designer.

As well as the campaign, the whole mood of the collection is placed on a line of continuity with the

collective imagination to which Kate Moss is deeply linked, to the point of becoming the essence of

her unmistakable style: leather jackets, cowboy boots, men’s cut t-shirts and skinny blazers,

represent that effortless chic and model off-duty look that the new campaign is planning to convey,

a style that Kate Moss, icon of the 90s, made immortal thanks to its scratchy and magnetic allure.

The campaign was shot by Fred Meylan and wants to celebrate the natural femininity; indeed, Kate

has posed completely without makeup, transmitting a simplicity and a strength that only natural

beauty can convey. The DNA of Zadig &Voltaire, with its rebellious attitude that goes against the conformation, goes perfectly with the soul of Kate Moss, and make the campaign a hymn to the celebration of individuality.

The supermodel will not only be the protagonist of the commercial, indeed, a more extensive

collaboration is coming about several creations that will be presented at the Paris Fashion Week

this fall. Some previews of the collection will soon be divulged via the brand’s social channels.
