The word iconic is an understatement. If you haven’t been stalking supermodels for the whole existence of instagram, then you probably should get following. Some of the history's most recognisable top models, have took part in a recent campaign by Versace; and what a campaign it was.

After seeing the Versace SS18 runway show, seeing the faces (and long legs) of Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford, Helena Christensen And Carla Bruni made headlines and froze our internet with the collaboration of such memorable faces together. We never thought we would see the day… Paying a tribute to the late Gianni Versace, it was a way to send him off well. But when I thought that was the best, boy was I wrong.. The designer label is now bringing about the same excitement, if not then even more, with the seasons campaign by featuring the most memorable and faces and the new faces that will soon be overtaking the fashion world. Following Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington, was one of the highest paid supermodels Gisele Bundchen and as well as the gorgeous Gigi Hadid and Kaia Gerber. The line of beautiful models does not end there, as many others were included in the ads.

Creative director of the Versace brand, Donatella, wanted to create a campaign that represented the crossing between the past and now the present. Talking about the campaign, Donatella Versace said “You need to know who you are and where you come from to be able to build your future, and when you are at the head of a company like Versace with such a strong heritage, you can’t but embrace it.”

Of course, it wouldn’t of been such a breathtaking campaign if it wasn’t for getting only the best of the best photographers. Photographer Steven Meisel, wanted to portray each of the models as for who they are; for their unique quirks and personalities. It is all about celebrating the definition of women and pushing the message of femininity. With her daughter being one of the faces in the campaign, Cindy Crawford said “What makes me a fan of Versace is the way it celebrates women. Versace portrays an image of strength and empowerment that I’ve always looked up to”. And when your mother is no other than the talented Crawford, then the apple won’t be falling far from the tree.
