Fieramilanocity will expose some of Francesco Scognamiglio’s creations in occasion of Si Sposaitalia Collections 2019, starting from the 5th to the 8th of April. The exhibition, Icons, Unique creations for exclusive women will display some of Neapolitan designer’s iconic dresses, wore by international celebrities such as Beyoncé, Madonna, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Nicole Kidman and many others.

These clothes, characterized by a sort of divine allure, will spread the message the designer wants to convey about the haute couture dresses and the wedding ones giving some similar emotions. The dresses presented at the fair have been worn for one night only and it is indeed for this reason that what lies behind them is an air of holiness, the same that shines through the wedding dresses that are worn for few hours.
As Scognamiglio stated: “I like the exclusiveness, the exceptionality, but also the devotion that comes from belonging to just one person. I would like to conceive my dress as something that stays with you forever, like emotions do”.
Francesco Scognamiglio graduated from Naples College of Design in 1998 and soon after that he made his first steps towards the fashion world by opening his own House. His collaboration with Donatella Versace from 1994 to 1999 had a decisive impact on his career. In 2000 he made his first debut in the haute couture world at Palazzo Barberini in Rome and in 2001 he took part of Milano Moda Donna Fashion Week, where he finally established himself as the creator of both a seductive and ethereal woman, who is the personification of his exclusive glamour.
